Why is this rant "2.5"? ... well... I have no clue.

I've finally gotten past the part of the game that I couldn't beat 3 years ago. FINALLY! *Angels sing* YAY! And now I'm finally on the fourth and final disk. (It just keeps getting harder.) I found out the main bad guy of the story...I think... and it's a bit lame. Oh well, there is still a lot to do in the game.

PLUS, there are a butt load of side quests to do. I have so much to do, and plenty of time to do it too! YAY! Quick! I'll rant about the characters in the game!

Dart (The hero): Ok, so Dart's nose is a bit screwed up... big whoop! He's a pretty good main character for an RPG. He acts like a typical hero in the first half of the game, but now I have some respect for this guy. He's alright in my book!

Shana (The damn damsel in distress): Oh, I could sing a song on how much I hate Shana. Besides being a piss poor character on the battle field, she enjoys time being captured, getting horribly sick, and getting captured. Did I mention getting captured? Sure, she's the white mage of the game, but her stats will make you not want to EVER use her. Bleh!

Lavitz (The one of the two awesome characters of the game who is also a knight of Basil): YES! Lavitz kicks butt, but the game decided at the end of the first disk that he has to :spoilers ahead!!!:

OF COURSE! Kill off all the cool characters! Geez... and then he gets replaced with a king that isn't even half as good. Lavitz didn't deserve to die, cause he just kicked a bunches of butt.

Albert (The "Gust of Wind" Man): A letter to Albert---
Albert, Albert, Albert... your magic defense stats are so low, a barbarian casting a weak flame spell would kill you. Even though you have a high attack damage ratio, your additions are crazy hard to pull off, and take a long time to master. You are such a promising character, but your horrible defense stats keep me from using you. Sorry...

Rose (The only cool female character that has a rapier): Rose kicks butt. End of story. Her first magic attack is even better than most people's later attacks (By the way, It's called Astral Drain. Don't ask why it's called that...) Rose is one of the strongest characters on the team stat-wise, and comes with easy additions. What more could you ask for?

Haschel (The other awesome character in the game): Yes, Haschel is also one who kicks many a butt. He's out to find his daughter, and he does it with his fists. He loves the ladies (And it's a bit creepy that they like him since he's like 50-70 years old!) and always jokes around with the party. And in battle, yes, he has no weakness. None. He just gives punch after punch. It's a good thing that they didn't kill him off...

Meru (The counterpart to FF8's Selphie): Meru is the exact replica to FF8's Selphie. EXACTLY! Except she's a water elemental, has silver hair, and a hammer. That's about it. Her magic def. is so strong....it....um... I can't think of something to analogy with that... She's also as physically strong as the main character...

Miranda (The equally useless substitute for Shana): Well, when Shana finally lost the ability to be a dragoon, I was happy. No more Shana. And then Miranda steps in. She has the same stats as Shana. Nothing changed. Miranda is much meaner than Shana though, and a bit weird sometimes too…

Kongol (The last character): I can’t say much for Kongol. He’s got very high attack and defence stats, but other than that… there is not much to say. He kinda seems just thrown into the story….

Anyway, those are all the main peoples. Go play the game, it’s a fun and different RPG.
